Data and Account Deletion
At BetterLife, you are in full control of your data. We provide two simple ways to permanently delete your account and all associated personal data.
Method 1: In-App Account Deletion (Recommended)
The easiest and fastest way to delete your account is directly from within the app:
Open the BetterLife app.
Navigate to the "Profile" screen.
Tap on the "Delete account" option.
Confirm your choice in the pop-up window.
Once confirmed, your account deletion process will be initiated immediately.
Method 2: Deletion via Email Request
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to:
contact@betterlifewellbeing.com
Please use the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and send the email from the address associated with your BetterLife account to help us verify your identity.
What Data is Deleted?
When you delete your account, the following personal data is permanently removed from our production databases:
Your profile information (Name/Nickname, Email Address).
Your full chat history and all messages.
Your AI Companion customization data.
Your subscription status and purchase history.
Any other user-generated content.
Please note that anonymized usage and analytics data, which is not linked to your personal identity, may be retained to help us improve the app.
Data Retention Period
As stated in our Privacy Policy, active user data is automatically deleted after 14 days of inactivity. When you request deletion, the process is initiated immediately. Please be aware that it may take up to an additional 30 days for your data to be fully purged from all our system backups.
